Direct To Garment Printing

(DTG) or Direct to Garment Printing is the process of printing on textiles or other materials using an aqueous ink jet technology.

In a typical DTG setup, the printer has a mechanism to hold the article being printed and then the ink is applied with either  jetted or sprayed ink to the garment with the print head.

DTG is a digital process and produces a much sharper and higher resolution that you could get with standard screen printing methods.

Due to the ease of setup and cleanup of the printer this allows for items to be printed economically even in smaller runs where as before small runs were to expenive on a per piece basis.
